Yesterday’s World 10-ball championship last 16 matches left us with one remaining Pinoy Pool Master. Demothenes Pulpul from Cagayan de Oro. Narrowly defeating Yang Ching-Shun and from last 32 match World Women’s Champion Jasmin Ouschan of Austria.
18 year old giant killer Jericho Banares was defeated by Van der Berg with a 9-6 after Banares left the 7-ball hanging near a corner pocket, handing the win to Van der Berg with an 7-6 lead.
Final 8 cue-masters to play are: Demosthenes Pulpul (Philippines), Wu Chia-Ching (Chinese Taipei), Mike Immonen (Finland), Liu Haitao (China), Darren Appleton (England), Charles Williams (USA), Niels Feijen and Nick Van der Berg (Netherlands).
